A bomb blast on Friday at a Shia mosque in Kuwait. It killed several worshippers.
After that, similar attacks on Shiite mosques in Saudi Arabia and Yemen and Isis claimed responsibility for the latest attack as well. A Kuwaiti MP, who saw the attacker, said the mosque was packed with some 2,000 people when there was a loud blast.
The blast was happened in Kuwait at the mosque on the friday in the Muslim’s holy month of Ramadan. According to the news, at least 25 people have been killed and many of them were injured.
The blast occurred at the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Kuwait City’s al-Sawabir district. It is one of the largest Shia mosques in the Middle Eastern nation. Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah said: “The attack was an attempt to threaten national unity. But this is too difficult for them and we are much stronger than that.”
The same group had claimed deadly attacks on Shia mosques in Saudi Arabia recently. Graphic images of dead bodies of worshippers were seen on social media. Sunni Islamists have mounted attacks on Shia mosques in the Gulf region in recent weeks.
