Prepaid card linked mobile wallet launched by BSNL:
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a pre-paid card linked mobile wallet on Friday, 3rd July. It allows the customers to load money even if they do not have a bank account. It allows its customers to transfer money, pay for services as well as withdraw cash of up to Rs 1 lakh.
BSNL Mobile Wallet:
This service was started by Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on 3rd July, 2015. The money placed in the mobile wallet can be transferred to a bank account and even withdrawn at bank branches or at BSNL outlets.
The Telecom Minister Ravi Prasad told: “I remember when after becoming minister, we were giving presentation of Department of Posts to the Prime Minister, the PM asked that can people of UP, Bihar, who work in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, transfer money to their poor mothers? ” They also told that… “I am happy that today we have taken the significant initiative in that direction.” This facility will be proven very helpful to the people.
Charges of BSNL Mobile Wallet:
This facility is really amazing. Now, people can send money through mobile very easily, we must appreciate BSNL for this. Remember that, there will be one percent transaction charge if money from the wallet is transferred to other bank accounts or a there is cash withdrawal.
