Mantri Developers Sells Rs 6-Crore Penthouse on Snapdeal: A biggest online marketplace Snapdeal has sold a luxury penthouse for Rs 6 crore located in Bengaluru, this possibly, one of the highest online residential property sale in the country. Before a few days ago, the New Delhi-based company sold an apartment from Tata Housing for Rs 1.1 crore and now sold this luxury home.

The Mantri Developers called as a biggest online home property seller, the Bengaluru-based real estate developer has sold a luxury penthouse in the IT capital of India on e-commerce platform Snapdeal. They recently tied up with Snapdeal to sell premium and luxury residential apartments online.
Mr. Sushil Mantri, MD of Mantri Developers said,”We have been able to achieve a sale for one of our most premium properties – Mantri Espana worth Rs. 6 crores. It is the highest online residential sale in present times.”
Also Said that by Mr. Amit Maheshwari, VP fashion, FMCG and real estate at Snapdeal,”Real estate category on Snapdeal has been growing at over 400 percent since its launch in August 2014 and is shaping into one of the most exciting categories for us.”
Maheshwari said Snapdeal is also involved in the backend of property sales on its website. “We take the booking amount for the property. Real estate is a high involvement category so we have to cater to our customers in a different manner. We arrange physical site visits as well. Other online portals dealing in properties pass on the lead to brokers or developers. But we stay involved. In case, the customer doesn’t like the house, we refund the booking amount after taking a token commission.”
The booking amount for the Rs 6 crore penthouse was Rs 50,000.
At this time, Snapdeal only sells new residential properties. But, it may venture into pre-owned residential properties in the future. “It requires a different technology and approach,” Maheshwari said. “At present, we only have reputed developers including Godrej, Tata, DLF and Unitech on board.”
