Prabhas Meets PM Modi, Asks Him to Watch Baahubali Movie

Prabhas Meets PM Modi, Asks Him to Watch Baahubali Movie:

Telugu actor Prabhas met Narendra Modi on Sunday at 7, Race Course Road and requested the Prime Minister to watch his latest flick Baahubali. The actor said that this was the best day of his life, following his meeting with the Prime Minister.

The film’s leading man Prabhas met up with the prime minister at his office in New Delhi on July 26 and urged him to watch the film that has now made close to Rs 400 crores at the ticket window, both in India and abroad.

Prabhas said, “Today is the best day of my life. I am a big fan (of Narendra Modi) and I can never forget this day. I spoke about Baahubali, I asked him to watch (the film) if he has the time. He said that he’s a little busy but if he can, he surely will.”

PM Modi, however, wasn’t the only political bigwig to be impressed by Baahubali and its achievements. Home Minister Rajnath Singh also took to Twitter on July 24, to praise both Prabhas and Baahubali:

It’s hardly surprising that both the prime minister and the home minister had tall words for Baahubali even when Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan is doing so well at the box office. Not so long ago Salman had urged PM Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif to watch the film, considering it as an attempt to revive the Indo-Pak alliance.

The latest development, however, points in the opposite direction. PM Modi has clearly chosen to put his might behind Baahubali.

Salman’s latest tweets supporting Yakub Memon in the 1993 Mumbai serial blast case has perhaps not gone down too well with the Indian PM. While Salman may have retracted his comments, but it looks like there is at least one person who will not be watching Bajrangi Bhaijaan anytime soon. PM Modi himself.
