Building of Thane collapsed at Maharastra:
The three storey building of thane was collapsed last night around 10:40 PM in Maharastra’s Thane district. Five people died, 12 people were injured in this incident and some are still feared trapped.
The building named “Matru Krupa” is located in Thakruli of Thane district. The building was constructed in 1972 and it was declared before some days that it’s the dangerous building to live in, but the people does not vacate it. 20 families were inside when the building collapsed. A part of building was collapsed yesterday and today, it collapsed completely.
Bala Ganesh, a resident of nearby building gave statement that, “At 11pm, when it was raining heavily, a portion of the building collapsed. After hearing the loud crash, we rushed out of our homes and told them to come out of the building but they couldn’t because of the building collapsed.” The fire brigade and 50 member team of disaster management personnel were busy to save them, he added. But it was quite harder because of heavy rain.

The dead people were identified as Usha Kushan, P. V. Easwaran, Pratik Hajiriya, Usha Sundaram, and Francis Nadar. Still one person does not to be identified. The injured people were rushed to the hospital and they have been admitted there. Thane collector Dr Ashwini Joshi also reached the place to supervise the relief and rescue operations.
The nearby buildings of Matru Krupa were also damaged because of collapsed.
